What To Do In Atatürk Arboretum?

Unfortunately, the limitations imposed for the protection of Arbetorum prevent a little bit of being able to enjoy this place to the full extent, but unfortunately, this is a great thing both for sustainability and for preventing disturbing behavior. Elbet would like to wish that we could ride on a beautiful bike, walk with our little cat and dog friends or spread over our picnic cover and watch the clouds, but they are all forbidden.

Considering that places open to picnics are also vulnerable to damage, they apply these rules very well. After all, we are talking about a field that is also used for scientific research. That’s why you can enjoy this place by walking a lot and by taking in the oxygenated air. Of course, it is not possible to return without taking a bit of effort in these wonderful views.

  • The first thing you should keep in mind is that food and drink is never accepted. There are really strict rules about this, so don’t be surprised when they call your bag. You are only allowed to put water in. There is nowhere in the buffet-café variant you can find inside. Since this is actually a museum, this is a precaution not to be harmed and contaminated. It is made to protect the environment in a completely natural way, so it is not necessary to be bored with this rule.
  • Since it can be very crowded on weekends or holidays, our recommendation is to go when it is calmer on weekdays. Because Atatürk Arboretum is a really good place to listen. Note that it is closed on Mondays. The minimum noise will be the most beautiful for you to sit comfortably and enjoy yourself wherever you want.
  • Atatürk Arboretum is a botanical garden so don’t expect to be able to find detailed information about the trees. There is some information in front of the trees, but if you are hungry for this, it is better not to keep the expectations high. So if you are keen on nature and trees, we can suggest you do some research or use books about trees before you go. Since this place was originally established to observe and experiment with Forestry Faculties, we have received information that people who do not know much about us are not very detailed in order to explain or explain the tree species. Especially as they move away from the center of the botanical garden.
  • The purchase of motors, bicycles and pets in the park is prohibited. It is also forbidden to enter with a tripod.
